Easter 2012
As usual, we spent Easter in Wedowee with Mawmaw Yates and Clay's family. It was colder than normal and a little rainy, but we made the most of the day with our family.
And the outtakes from trying to get a decent picture with a silly 4-year-old!
We went and saw my parent's on the way home that night. No Easter Egg hunts due to the weather, but a fun day!

Red Wagon Baby Shower for Shelley and Baby JP
I threw a baby shower for my friend. Shelley, this weekend and I did a Little Red Wagon theme. It turned out super cute.
I only have pictures of some of the decorations because I was so busy during the shower.
Everything turned out super cute and Sweet Baby JP got so many great things. Can't wait for him to arrive!

Will's 4th Birthday - Batman Party
We celebrated Will's Birthday today with our friends and family.
Will decided months ago that he wanted a Batman party, so that is what we did. Normally, we have his birthday party at a large venue but this year we decided to have it at my parent's house. We had anticipated that the weather would be decent so the kids could play outside, but it snowed so we were all crammed in my parent's living room. Regardless, it was a fun time!
The invite:
Here is the birthday boy ready to celebrate!
The cupcake table. It looks like a shrine to me and John but oh well!
Drinks
Birthday Banner
Goodie Bags for the kiddos.
Mini Candy Bars with personalized Batman wrappers.
We had pizza, goldfish and fruit for lunch.
Then it was cupcake time!
And then gifts. This is the first year that we have had our guests bring Will gifts. Normally, we donate to a charity in Will's honor. Since it was a smaller party, Will got gifts.
To keep with tradition, Clay and I gave money to Will's Compassion friend. The little boy we adopted in December has the same birthday as Will, so we gave to him instead of getting Will a present from us. We always want Will to feel blessed, but we want him to know there are other kids out in the world that don't have as much as we do.
The gift opening was a little chaotic.
Batman Shirts!
Our little family...can't believe we have a four year old!
And finally, it's his party so he can cry if he wants too! I wanted a picture with him and his balloons but it was "so freezing" according to Will. This is the best I got. Big tears!
We are so thankful for a great day spent with family and friends celebrating our little boy. I hope that Will knows above everything else that he is loved!

Supercross - ATL 2013
We just got back from a great weekend in ATL. John planned a great trip!
Richard, Julie, Jeffrey, Becca, John, Jayme, Clay and I all went. It was so much fun.
We got to Atlanta Friday night and started the trip off right with dinner at Morton's. Morton's is my absolute favorite place to eat!
After dinner, we headed to a place called Side Bar that was near our hotel. We spent a few hours hanging out and laughing.
(John will probably kill me for posting this picture, but I did it anyway...haha!)
Saturday morning, we got up, had breakfast and lunch, and then headed to the dome to watch practice. After practice, we went to Stats for an early dinner. Clearly this trip was ALL about food!
When we headed back to the dome, we took the scenic route.
I am not a huge motorcycle fan, but Supercross really is a lot of fun to watch.
We were routing for Trey Canard to win, but I think he ended up 5th in the main event. We did get Will a Trey Canard t-shirt and he loved it!
After the races, we took the sketchy way back to the hotel. Think scary railroad tracks, jumping over guardrails, and weird alleys. Didn't think we would make it back to the hotel alive.
This morning, we got ready to leave and went to West Egg Cafe for brunch. My second favorite place to eat in ATL. It was a great weekend getaway and I am so thankful that John lets us tag-a-long every year.
Will stayed at Mawmaw and Pop's for the weekend and was completely spoiled. I don't think he missed us very much!
