Pumpkin Patch 2012

Sunday, John and Jayme volunteered to take Will to the Pumpkin Patch while I was at the beach.  Mom tagged along with them too and Jayme's sister, brother-in-law and niece met them there.

John sent me some pictures and I know that they all had a great time!

I got home last night and the pumpkin patch is all Will talks about out of all the things he did this weekend.  He tells me how he picked a pumpkin and about riding on the tractor. He even told me where everyone sat in the car on the way to and from the pumpkin patch. He can't wait to "cut a face" on his pumpkin.

Thanks John and Jayme for taking Will and always being willing to spend time with him. He loves you both so much!

Tuesday

Last night, Will and I went to the gym with Clay.  It's our normal routine, but last night we had a special surprise.

Ellie and Kristen came with Jordan!!!  Me and Kristen got to walk, Ellie got to sleep, and Will go to play.

After our walk, I got to hold sweet Ellie for a while.  I got Will to agree to a picture.

Right after the picture he said "Can you not hold her anymore, I need to sit in your lap!" He gets a little jealous! :)

When we got home, I showed him the picture of the two of them and he said "I love Ellie, she's my favorite baby."  In addition to being jealous, he is the sweetest kid I know!

We spent the afternoon at Paul and Shelley's watching football. Will got quiet and this is what we found.

Change of Plans

This weekend did not go as planned.

Saturday, we were supposed to go to the game but Will and I ended up staying at home.  Friday night, Clay and I went out with our friends, Nick and Amanda. After dinner, we picked up Will and headed home to go to bed.  Will went to sleep around 10 pm and then got up at 11:30 pm.  He then stayed up until 3 AM!!!! So needless to say, when my alarm went off at 5 am to head to Auburn, neither Will nor I were up for it.  So Clay went without us and Will and I stayed in bed. 

It was a rough day.  Will was tired and cranky and I was tired and cranky.  We did a little bit of shopping, had some lunch, and then both took 3 hour naps.  When Clay got home, he was tired and cranky.  He didn't get much sleep either and Auburn Football is not so great! 

Since we all had a rough Saturday, Sunday was spent going to church and sleeping!!!  Sunday afternoon, I was bored so I made a wreath for our front door and this "Y" for our side door. I love how they turned out.

Now it's back to work. I am looking forward to this weekend - Girl's Beach Trip!!!!

Football and the Fair

Auburn had an off week this weekend, so we took the opportunity to do some other fun things.

On Friday, we went to Ashville to see our local high school team play and see our friend's daughter cheer.

Will loved it and has been asking to go back. He loved that the team we played was green!

On Saturday, Clay played golf and I cleaned the house.  When Clay got home, we took Will to the local fair.  

He had so much fun on this race car ride. 



We left the fair and went to get some shaved ice!  That night Clay and I went to dinner with Paul, Shelley and John.

Sunday, was church and resting!!

The Squirrel

My dad rescued a baby squirrel last week. Dad found him/her on their driveway. The squirrel was so tiny and frail.

Mom got some puppy formula and they gave it to the squirrel. It really seemed to help and the squirrel perked up.

I thought it was nuts that my parents were taking care of a squirrel, but to each his own. Right?!?!

Unfortunately, the squirrel took a turn for the worst and died today. I am kind of sad.  We don't know what happened but I guess he/she was just not meant to be raised by humans. :(

Will meets Ellie

Will got the meet Ellie today.

He was not to sure about the whole situation. I think he was overwhelmed by all the people at Kristen and Jordan's house.

He kept asking why she couldn't talk or walk.  I think as she gets older, he will enjoy her more and more!
