The Squirrel

My dad rescued a baby squirrel last week. Dad found him/her on their driveway. The squirrel was so tiny and frail.

Mom got some puppy formula and they gave it to the squirrel. It really seemed to help and the squirrel perked up.

I thought it was nuts that my parents were taking care of a squirrel, but to each his own. Right?!?!

Unfortunately, the squirrel took a turn for the worst and died today. I am kind of sad.  We don't know what happened but I guess he/she was just not meant to be raised by humans. :(

Will meets Ellie

Will got the meet Ellie today.

He was not to sure about the whole situation. I think he was overwhelmed by all the people at Kristen and Jordan's house.

He kept asking why she couldn't talk or walk.  I think as she gets older, he will enjoy her more and more!

AU vs. LSU

We had a great time tailgating and going to the game yesterday.

Auburn really surprised us and kept the score close the whole time. We still lost but I was proud of our team.

Of course, Petty was there.

Football and Fall is my favorite time of year!!

Visiting Ellie

Ellie has been in the NICU since the 12th.  It has been a long road, but she gets to go home today.

I am so proud of Kristen and Jordan.  I hope Ellie knows how much they love her.  There have been some not so great days and some scary news over the last week and a half, but Ellie is perfectly healthy!!

Since Ellie was in the NICU, Will hasn't gotten to meet her. He has been really confused by the whole situation. The NICU nurse gave me this heart sticker to give to him, so he would have a sticker just like Ellie's.  He really loved that.

So glad that this part of Ellie's journey is over. I can't wait to see Ellie when she is AT HOME with her mommy and daddy.

29

Today, I turn 29!

It's the first day of my last year in my twenties. I am excited about it. My life is so good and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

My sweet hubby sent me flowers.

Also, I got to go to the NICU and see Ellie!!!

She is doing so well.

I was crabing BBQ, so my family took me to Jim N Nicks for dinner. So yummy!

It was great day!!

First Auburn Home Game 2012

We went to the first Auburn Home Game today. The game started at 11 am, so we didn't get to tailgate.  We did meet our family and friends at our "spot" so we could get our tickets from Dan.

Will was excited because Pawpaw and BomBom gave him a very special surprise...his very own season tickets!!!!

Will is currently obsessed with this little tiger that he named Petty. Petty just had to go to the game with us!

Auburn is not doing so great this year, but we managed to pull out a win.

It was a LONG, HOT day!!

Eliana Kate

My BFF Kristen gave birth to her daughter, Eliana Kate, today. I am so excited that sweet Ellie is here.

Kristen had a scheduled c-section and once Ellie was here, Jordan came to give us the good news!

Ellie is the most beautiful little girl, and I am so happy for Kristen and Jordan.

Ellie was a little early and after some time in the room, they decided she needed to be admitted to the NICU for observation. Hopefully, she won't be there long.

First Day of 3K!

Today is Will's First Day of 3K!

I had my friend, Amanda, make this shirt for him. I think it turned out really cute.

We had a slow start to the morning so that left things a little hectic when we got to school this morning.  I made little treats for the kids in Will's class since it was their first day and Will wanted to help put them in everyone's cubbies.

Will's friend, Colt, was there early too, so I tried to get a picture of them together.  Photographing two 3-year-olds is never easy! HA!

I hope that Will has a great first day!

ATL

Clay and I, along with John and Jayme, spent the weekend in Atlanta.  Our main purpose was to go to the first Auburn game.

John was very gracious and got us a room at the Omni for the weekend.  We left on Friday morning and headed for our weekend away.

Friday night, we got dressed up and went to dinner at Morton's.  We had eaten at the Morton's in Dallas and knew we wanted to visit the one in Atlanta while we were there.

I had their Chicken Christopher and it was delicious!!!  We stuff ourselves and had a great time!

Saturday was game day.

It was strange having the first game at a neutral location for both teams.  It didn't feel like a real game and the outcome was not what we wanted.

On Sunday, we planned to shop, shop, shop and our first stop was Ikea! Wow!!!  It was overwhelming, but we got a few things and picked out a bed for Will.

We stayed an extra night on Sunday since Monday was a holiday. It was so relaxing!

Monday we headed home and I couldn't wait to see Will! He was excited to see us too.

Thanks to John for planning the trip!

Thanks to my parents for keeping Will, so we could go!

Superheros

Will is currently obsessed with superheros.  He loves them all: Batman, Spiderman, Green Lantern, Power Rangers, etc.

Every time we go to the store, he has to look at the superheros and he always tries on the masks they have.

He even has Power Ranger and Iron Man costumes at home that he wears to play in. He is always practicing he "inja" (ninja) moves! :)
