What We've Been Up To

We haven't had too much going on, but we have been busy!  Life these days is definitely fun and interesting!

We have become a ballpark family and most of our time is spent there.  We are there at least three nights a week plus anytime we go to walk and play at the park.

We are having so much fun with Will's t-ball team.  It is sometimes stressful because Clay is coaching but the good far outweighs the bad.

Will is having a blast.  We have are moments of meltdowns and picking flowers in the outfield, but it's fun.

He is the youngest kid on the team so that is an interesting dynamic. Thankfully he gets along with all the kids and they enjoy playing together.

The kid, on the right of him, is the oldest on the team.  Can you tell from the height difference?? HAHA!

It is so funny to see him out on the field in his little uniform and helmet.  I can't wait for the season to start.  Only one more week.

Other things that have been going on are:

-Clay's is playing co-ed softball. We love getting to hang out with our friends.

-My dad was in the hospital over the weekend. He had a little health scare, but thankfully after some medicine and a few tests, he is perfectly fine!

-We went to two birthdays last Saturday and we have more coming up.  We have lots of friends with Spring birthdays.

-Work, work, and more work, but it's all good.

Well I think that gets us all caught up.  Can't believe it is almost April!!!

Tie and Fishing

Yesterday was a big day!

We started off the day at church.  John was preaching for the first time in 'big church".  I was so nervous for him.  I don't know why because he did a great job and he always challenges me to take that next step in my faith!

I guess Will knew something special was happening at church and requested to wear a tie. This is the first time he has ever worn a tie and he look so dang cute!!!

After church we ate dinner with our family and then John wanted to take Will fishing.  This was Will's first fishing trip. We went to a friend's pond and it was such a fun time.

Will lost interest after about 15 minutes and we didn't catch anything for a while.  John finally caught a fish and Will kept asking if it was a shark!

It was a fun afternoon.  Afterwards, we came home and took a nap!

It was a great Sunday!!!

Will's Aubie Birthday Party

We had one last celebration for Will’s 3rd birthday this past Saturday.  Will loves Aubie, so we had an Aubie Birthday Party.  It was such a fun day and so many of our family and friends came to celebrate Will.  The party was at lunch time so we served lunch and cupcakes!

I saw a cute idea on Pinterest for a "make your own snack mix" table.  We had some of Will's favorites: goldfish, M&Ms, marshmallows, pretzels, peanuts, and Chex cereal.

I love all of Will's little friends. They are all so sweet. Here is Jameson, Gavin, and Will eating lunch!

And after we sang "Happy Birthday", Will was ready for a cupcake!

I found the cutest tiger pinata and thought it would be so fun for the kids.  They all loved hitting it and trying to break it open.

It was a tough pinata to crack, so I ended up ripping it open so the kids could get the candy!

For the the last two years, we have supported a charity instead of birthday gifts. Clay and I love this because Will is so blessed and we like to pass that blessing on to others who need it more.  This year we decided to support Samaritan's Purse.  With our family and friend's help, we were able to donate $275 to Samaritan's purse in honor of Will's birthday.  I am so thankful for the people in our lives!!!   Of course, because we have such a wonderful and generous group of people who love Will, Will got some gifts too!

He had a blast opening his presents and fell in love with this Auburn hat!

We had party favors for everyone when they left.  The kids received play-doh, cookies, and gummies. The adult favors were Auburn mints.

I loved the way the boxes and tags turned out. Perfect for our Aubie party!

I am so glad we were able to celebrate Will's 3rd birthday with everyone. We are so blessed!!!

These two boys are the most wonderful things in my life!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY WILL!!!

3-Year-Old Well Visit

We took Will to see Dr. R today for his 3-year-old well visit.  It was uneventful to say the least.  Will was weighed and measured, and then Dr. R listened to his heart and checked his ears, nose, and mouth. Dr. R said Will is a perfectly healthy 3-year-old.  His stats are:

Weight: 32 pounds
Height: 36 inches

His is still right on the growth chart where he has always been.

Will's Birthday Celebration at School

I took cupcakes to Will's class this morning to celebrate his birthday!  I love his little class so much.  They are so cute and they say the funniest things.

Will's teacher, Miss Tammy, made him a special sign for his birthday.

Everyone was so sweet to Will and they all told him "happy birthday".

Two of Will's little friends, Loren and Colt, kept asking me if I was going to work. When I told them "yes", they both asked me if I could just stay at school with them.  It was so precious. Will didn't want me to leave either and there were a few tears shed.  I wish that I could have spent the whole day with them, but sadly I can't. Thankfully, Miss Tammy is a wonderful teacher and takes care of Will when I have to go to work.

It was a fun morning with six 2 and 3 year olds!

A Day of Celebration

We had a great day celebrating Will's birthday!

I went in and woke him up this morning to tell him "happy birthday".  This was our conversation:

Me: "Happy Birthday!"

Will: "today?"

Me: "Yes. You are three today!"

Will: "Awesome. Give me a high-five!"

He totally cracks me up.

We got ready and headed to Sunday School. We took cupcakes so celebrate with his friends.  Logan and Jameson were there and Will loved getting to share cupcakes with them.

Beth is Will's Sunday School teacher.  Of course, Will loves his "Bess" and she does a great job teaching them about Jesus each week.

After church, we ran a few errands and then went to Mawmaw and Pop's for Will's Birthday lunch.  Uncle John, Pawpaw, Bom-Bom, Aunt Kate, Uncle Gray, Kritchen, Jordan, and Ashley were all there.  We had a great lunch!

Will was so excited about his letter cake this year, and he was actually able to blow out the candles by himself.  Mom and Kristen helped me with the cake. We got the idea from Pinterest and it turned out really cute. Will loved it!

Will ate two bites of cake and wanted to know if we could open presents.  He was really into it this year and that was exciting.

He loved all his gifts especially his new Blaze hat and Legos.

Clay and Gray loved the Legos too!

Later that evening, just the three of us went to Waffle House for dinner. Will picked and he wanted a waffle with chocolate on top.

It was such a wonderful day celebrating our boy with all our family and friends. I still can't believe he is three years old.  I know this next year is going to be great!!!

THREE

Our baby boy is THREE today!

Sometimes I have to think really hard to remember how tiny he was.

He is such a big boy and does some many big boy things.  He is growing and learning, and it makes me so proud.  Clay and I are so thankful that God allowed us to be Will's parents. He is our most precious gift and we love him so much.

My favorite thing about him is his little personality. He is hilarious, stubborn, smart, and loud. He is all boy and I wouldn't change a thing about him!

Here is what he is up to:

-He talks consantly about everything.  There are very few quiet moments in our house.

-He is still a picky eater.  He will eat chicken nuggets, PB&J, grilled cheese, fruits and snack foods.  He hates eating meals and would only eat snack if we would let him.  In fact, during a meltdown at the grocery store one day he was crying and told me "I don't like lunch, I love snacks, only snacks."  He would also just drink milk and skip all meals if that was an option.

-He loves to play sports, espcially basketball

-He also loves to play with cars and build things with blocks

-He can write his name, but sometimes he rights is backwards (not sure why)

-He can pick out most letters and some numbers by sight. He told me his favorite letters were "S" and "W"

-He loves chocolate and candy.  It is the source of many meltdowns at our house.

-He is does a good job of using the potty. Still some accidents here and there.

-He sleeps about 10 hours a night and takes a 2 hour nap at school.

We will go to his 3-year-old well check on the 8th, so I will post his height and weight then.

A Fun Saturday

We had a fun day today. Jackson came over for the day while his mom went to a funeral out of town and his dad worked.

We started off the day at Academy.  We had to get Will a helmet and bag for t-ball.

On the way home, we stopped and got Happy Meals. It was interesting having two boys under 3 for the day.

After lunch, the boys played and played.  Kristen and Mom came over to help me bake Will's birthday cake and cupcakes.

Jackson went home around 4 and we went to the park for t-ball practice.   Will didn't really want to practice. He told me that he wanted to stay in the dugout and dance. It is definitely going to be an interesting season.

We ended the day with dinner at Wings with Kristen and Jordan.  Will slept for 45 minutes on my lap so I knew he was tired.  I also left the car keys in the bathroom while changing Will when we got there and we had a small issue finding them when it was time to go home!  What a day!!!

It's March!

Today is the first day of March, which means it's Will's birthday month!

We have some exciting things planned for the next couple of weeks to celebrate Will turning 3!!

To be honest, I am in complete denial.  Will is growing up so fast and I just want time to SLOW down.  Hopefully, with all this party planning, I can concentrate on the fun stuff and not be too emotional!
