Will's Scrapbook

Instead of buying the standard baby book to record Will's first year of life, I decided I would buy a scrapbook. I guess I was on a pregnancy high when I came up with this great idea. I have never done a scrapbook page in my life! I thought that I would have all the time in the world to work on it and it would be beautiful.

Here's a little secret: my child is now five months old and I have only completed half of ONE page, and that page is not even about him. It is a page about my 1st baby shower back in February.

I have decided to get back on the scrapbook wagon and at least put some type of effort into it. If I have to, I will just slap some pictures together so in ten years I don't have to tell my child that he has no baby book because his mommy is lazy. If things get tough, I will just give all the stuff to Tabitha and give her some money to complete it because that's how I roll. I am not past paying someone else to record my child's memories. (Tabitha-you need to post some of Gavin's pages on your blog so everyone can see them-they look great!)

Now my secret is out there. Here is some pictures of the scrapbook and the one half completed page.

I need some serious encouragement!

  1. Oh honey, I cannot explain to you how many scrapbooks and materials I have bought, only to never have completed any of them. That is why I HEART blogging- it takes the place of a traditional scrapbook for me. I fill out his baby book when I can, and I just print pictures when I have time. Most of our pictures are still on the computer. I am so not a good role model in this area. Good Luck! I can't wait to see it when it's done. So far, it is super cute!

  3. You can do it!! Do I need to let you see mine to get inspired (to do one much better)? Or, you could *cheat* and go to shutterfly.com and just click and drop your pics into a pre-made one. It's pretty much the same cost after you buy all the scrapping materials, goodies, etc. Just a thought. ;)

  4. Believe it or not, it's actually on my list of things to do to post a few pages of Gavin's book...
