A Day in Auburn

We went to Auburn yesterday for Auburn's CityFest.

We never pass up an opportunity to spend some time in the place we love and we got to see Cody.

We spent the day, just hanging out and eating.  We ended the day at Toomer's Corner to watch all the new Auburn Football videos. 

Can't wait for the season to start!!

Cody moves to Auburn

We headed down to Auburn yesterday to help Cody move into the dorm.  We are so excited for Cody and we know he is going to have a wonderful time during the next four years.  Will was a little sad because Cody is his "best friend" and he is used to seeing Cody everyday because Cody worked at his school.

After we got Cody's room all set up, we went to lunch at Bryon's. On the way we passed Toomer's Corner. The trees look so sad.

Then we headed to a couple of bookstores and then to the stadium to see the new Heisman trophies.  Will like the Cam Newton one the best!

Quick Beach Trip to Panama City

We left Sunday night for a quick trip to the beach. Clay's Aunt Shawn invited to come down for a few days to hang out with her family on their family vacation.  This trip came at such a wonderful time. We had been having a stressful couple of weeks, so it was nice to get away and relax for a few days.

It rained all the days we were there but that didn't stop us from hanging out on the beach and swimming.

Ellie's Baby Shower

Today was a day that I have been looking forward to for over a year! 

We got to celebrate my best friend, Kristen, and her soon-to-be-here, baby girl, Eliana Kate.  Kristen has waited so long to be pregnant and we have prayed and prayed for this little girl!

The shower was a bird theme, so we had tiny pink and white birds all around. Birds are a favorite of the mommy-to-be.

This is one of my favorite days this year.  I can't wait for Ellie to be here so I can hold her and love on her.  This little girl's arrival is much anticipated!

Pawpaw's 80th Birthday

Today is my Pawpaw's 80th Birthday!  Everyone keeps asking if he is really 80 because he doesn't look 80, and he certainly doesn't act 80!

My mom and I planned a birthday party for early this afternoon for all of Pawpaw's family and friends and then we had a Bar-B-Que dinner with our immediate family.

Of course, when you turn 80, you get TWO birthday cakes!

For his party this afternoon, we had cake and finger foods.

My Pawpaw, his wife-Shirley, our pastor-Brad, my two aunts-Ann and JoLynn, and my mom singing "Happy Birthday!"

It was a great day celebrating. My Pawpaw is the only grandparent I have and I am so lucky to have him with us.  He is such a blessing to our family!

A Great Summer Afternoon

When we got home yesterday, we filled up Will's little pool and played in the backyard for a while.  It was so hot, but it was fun!

Will even had a Popsicle while he went "swimming".

John came by after work to pick up his bicycle so he could take it home to clean it. Once Will realized that John was going to clean his bike, Will want to wash his bike in the pool. Then he rode the bike it the pool.

Mom invited us to their house for dinner, so we went and had a yummy dinner there.  Dinners are always better when mom cooks them. Then we headed over to my grandparent's house to visit with some family. Two of my mom's cousin were visiting from North Carolina and it was nice to catch up with them.

It was a wonderful summer afternoon!

Golf with Daddy

Will went with Clay and Dan to play golf yesterday. He was so excited and I think Clay was excited too.

This is the first time Will has gone and played an entire round with Clay.  Will loves golf and he loves spending time with his daddy.

Clay said that they had a great time and they were both wiped out when they got home!
