Will and MA

Will and I went to visit Tony, Lisa, and MA on Saturday while Clay went to the Auburn game. I was so excited for Will and MA to get to be together. They have not seen each other since Will was around 2 months old.

They were so sweet together. When MA first saw Will, she kept talking to him and saying "baby".  They played together, rode in the car together, and had dinner together.

Will and I had a great time and I got to catch up with my BFF.  It was a good day and I am so thankful that Tony, Lisa, and MA let us hang out for the day. We had a blast!

Here are so sweet shots of the kiddos playing:

Sweet Friends!

MA sharing her bear.

Will making sure the bear tastes okay. He puts EVERYTHING is his mouth.

Will was crying so MA was patting him on the back to make him feel better.

Will's First Word

is...

Da-da!

Clay told me this morning when I woke up that Will had been saying it to him while they played but that he wouldn't claim it until I heard it.  We tried to get Will to say it all morning but he just kept looking at us like we were crazy.  We went to Target this afternoon to pick up some things, and Will said it.  He kept saying it over and over, and looking directly at Clay.  He has said it a couple of times this afternoon and tonight.  It is so sweet, and of course, Clay is so excited!

A List

Here is an update.  It is in list form because I am too tired to make a coherent thought:

Friday the 18th
  • Clay and John left for the Auburn/West Virginia Game
  • Will and I stayed over at my parent's house for the night because it was storming
  • Will slept through most of the night :)
Saturday the 19th
  • Will and Gavin got to spend the day together and had Laura Beth as their babysitter
  • Tabitha, Mom, and I went to Jenny's wedding. Tabitha was a bridesmaid and the dresses were so cute.  Jenny was beautiful as always and the wedding went off without a hitch.  Got to see some girls from high school and we were able to catch up. Good times!
  • Ate with Mom and Dad that night
  • Hung out with my baby and watched the Auburn game.
  • Auburn WON!!!
Sunday the 20th
  • Taught Sunday School. Love our class!
  • Took a nap
  • Caught up on Laundry!!!!
  • Had dinner with John
Monday the 21st
  • Back to work and daycare
  • Will moved up a class at daycare
  • Rested
Tuesday the 22nd
  • Work
  • Will had baby food at daycare for the first time and didn't have to change clothes. We may invite his teacher home to feed him every night. She obviously has a special talent that Clay and I lack.
  • Celebrated Dan's birthday at Outback with Clay, Will, Celia, Kate and Gray.
Today
  • Work
  • Dinner at church
  • I am in a small skit for the children's ministry (hopefully I will do well, we shall see)
Hope everyone is having a more exciting week than I am.  I will post about how the skit went and some pictures of my sweet boy tonight or in the morning.

Birthday Recap

I had a very low-key birthday this year, but it was great.  Of course, I was at work all day but that night we went over to mom and dad's for a birthday dinner and cake.  The best part was getting to spend my 26th birthday with Will!

These are the flowers Will and Clay sent me!

The little birthday card Will got me and Clay helped him sign it. So sweet!

And introducing--Baby Kathryn!!

This is Lee and Dana's little girl! Her parents are so excited she is here and so am I!  She arrived on my birthday, so we get to share. I told her she definitely gets priority.  She is absolutely beautiful!

26

So today I turn 26 years old.

I almost forgot today was my birthday.

Before becoming a mom, I would talk about my upcoming birthday a lot and would celebrate for an entire month.

Those days are gone.

I am just grateful to be able to grow another year older and celebrate my life with my baby, my family, and my friends.

Will's First Trip to Auburn

We took Will to Auburn on Saturday for his first Auburn game.  Auburn played Mississippi State and won!  Will had a great time.

At the tailgate spot with Grandmother.
Playing catch with daddy and Uncle John.
Getting my first gameday button at the bookstore.
Touring campus with Uncle John.
Hanging out with Aunt Kate.
Meeting new friends.
Watching the team practice.
Our Family.
Getting ready to watch the game.
The Band!
The Team!
Worn out after the first half.
Awake again to see the end of the game.
Ready to go home.

We saw Toomer's Corner on our way out of town.
We had a great time with our family and friends.  It was very tiring, but I am glad Will has had his first Auburn experience.  Can't wait to do it again!  WAR EAGLE!

6 month check-up

Will had his 6 month check up yesterday.  We had to wait almost an hour and a half to be seen.  Clay took Will outside because of all the sick people.

Here are his stats:
18 pounds, 1 ounce
26 1/2 inches long

He is now in the 50th percentile for height and weight.  YAY!

He got 3 shots and was not happy about it.

All in all it was a good visit and our boy is healthy.

I would love to vent!

I would love to be able to come here and vent. But I would like to keep my job and my friends so I won't. Just know that yesterday was a very frustrating day for me. I know I just need to give it to God and he will take care of it, but that is so hard sometimes. I am going to just keeping trucking along and try to not lose my mind.

Does anyone else feel like this sometimes?

Will's First Game Day!

It's game day!

We will miss daddy since he is at the game.

Let's go TIGERS!

6 months old

Will is 6 months old today! I cannot believe it!

Will and Tiger-6 months old

Here are so things he is doing:
-Rolling over and over and over, all over the place!
-Laughing all the time...so sweet!
-Pulling his knees under him like he is trying to crawl, and then looking up with a confused look on his face like "why doesn't this work"
-Reaching out to me when I pick him up from daycare
-Feeling everything around him and trying to figure out different textures
-Teething, teething, teething...but sadly no teeth yet
-Sitting up for long periods of time, but still unsteady at times
-Eating Stage 1 foods
-Loves sweet potatoes, carrots, and peas
-Hates fruit and apple juice :(
-Wearing mostly 3-6 month clothes and some 6-9 month stuff
-Wearing a size 3 diaper!

I love him more and more everyday. He is at a fun age where Clay and I can really play with him and we love it!

We go to the doctor on September 9th for his 6 month check-up so I will post his height and weight after that visit.

To see Will and Tiger month-by-month, go HERE.

6 month pictures

We took Will yesterday to have his 6 month pictures taken. It is the first time we had "professional" portraits done. I wasn't sure how he would react to the whole situation, but he did really well and we got some great shots. We had two outfits we wanted to get pictures of him in. The first outfit he did really well and it went smoothly. Once we got to the second outfit, he was over the whole thing. We got about four shots and then he spit up on his shirt so we were done.

Here are my two favorites:

This is him in his Auburn smocked outfit. The was made for him by B (Brantley's mom)! I love this outfit!!

This is classic Will! We got this one in color and B&W. One of these will be going on my beside table.

WAR EAGLE

Auburn football offically starts tomorrow! I have mixed emotions about the season starting.

On one hand, I am excited it is finally here. Clay and I love Auburn football, tailgating, traveling to away games, and enjoying our Auburn family and friends. I am also excited that this is Will's first football season. I get a little teary-eyed thinking about last season's first game. At the tailgate before the game, is when we announced to our family that we would be expecting a future tiger and now that little boy is 6 months old, and ready for his first game!

But, I am a little sad too. I am going to miss tomorrow's game and the whole experience of the first tailgate of the season. I don't really know in total how many games I will end up missing, but it is all worth it for Will.

Tomorrow, he and I will sit on the couch in our Auburn gear and cheer for the Tigers. We will miss our family and friends who will be at the game, but that's okay because we will get to join them later in the season. I can't wait for Will to experience it all, but it has to cool off first!

Here is my boy ready for the big game:

WAR EAGLE!!!!!
