Currently, this is my favorite song. It is called "Perfect People" and it is by Natalie Grant.
I think it says alot about what I struggle with on a daily basis. I want to be perfect in every area of my life, and if I am not perfect, I still want people to think I am. If I would put my faith in God in every situation and worry more about my relationship with Him, all the other areas of my life would fall into place.
Perfect People
Never let 'em see you when you're breaking
Never let 'em see you when you fall
That's how we live and that's how we try
Tell the world you've got it all together
Never let them see what's underneath
Cover it up with a crooked smile
But it only lasts for a little while
There's no such thing as perfect people
There's no such thing as a perfect life
So come as you are, broken and scarred
Lift up your heart and be amazed
And be changed by a perfect God
Suddenly it's like a weight is lifted
When you hear the words that you are loved
He knows where you are and where you've been
And you never have to go there again
There's no such thing as perfect people
There's no such thing as a perfect life
So come as you are, broken and scarred
Lift up your heart and be amazed
And be changed by a perfect God
Who lived and died to give new life
To heal our imperfections
So look up and see love. Let grace be enough
There's no such thing as perfect people
There's no such thing as a perfect life
So come as you are, broken and scarred
Lift up your heart and be amazed
And be changed by a perfect God
By a perfect God

1200
I have taken 1200 pictures since my first baby shower in February.
I would say over 98% of the pictures are of Will.
Is this sad?

All About Clay
Since I don't post much specifically about Clay, I thought this was a fun little survey about us!
1. Who is your man? Clay is my husband, I am not to fond of the phrase "my man"
2. How long have you been together? 9 1/2 years
3. How long did you date? 5 1/2 years
4. How old is your man? the big 3-0
5. Who eats more? That's a tough one. He eats more at meal times, but I snack A LOT between meals
6. Who said "I love you" first? He did, but it was mutual
7. Who is taller? He is.
8. Who sings better? I don't really know. He doesn't really ever sing except when he is being silly, but I am definitely not a good singer
9. Who is smarter? I think I am probably more book smart, but he has a good balance between book smarts and common sense. He also can remember more random facts than the law allows.
10. Whose temper is worse? His.....especially if we are dealing with Auburn football! :)
11. Who does the laundry? Me for the most part, but he helps out too.
12. Who takes out the garbage? He does.
13.Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? At home, me because it is fartherest from the door. I always sleep fartherest from the door regardless of what side of the bed it is.
14. Who pays the bills? I do.
15. Who is better with the computer? Definitely Clay!
16. Who mows the lawn? He does, but I like to help sometimes.
17. Who cooks dinner? Me, but again he helps and has his nights.
18. Who drives when you are together? HE DOES...he doesn't like my driving.
19. Who pays when you go out? He does, I usually don't carry my wallet/purse if we are together.
20. Who is the most stubborn? We both are, depends on the subject.
21.Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Neither of us, we both like to be right.
22. Whose parents do you see most? Mine, but only because we live like 2 miles from them. We see his parents all the time too.
23. Who kissed who first? He kissed me first.
24. Who asked who out? We have always been friends, so the whole dating thing really just evolved.
25. Who proposed? He did on 4/4/04
26. Who is more sensitive? ME
27. Who has more friends? I probably have more close friends, but he is friends with everyone. He loves people and has a more outgoing personality!
28. Who has more siblings? I would say me (1 brother) but technically him, he has a step-sister and a half-brother.
29. Who wears the pants in the family? He does and that's the way I like it!

If I am being honest...
I wish I could fit into my old clothes. I know I need to give myself time, but it is depressing to only have like 5 outfits that you can actually wear.
I am tired. Will is still getting up at least twice each night to eat. Going 4 and a half months without a full nights sleep really starts to wear on a person.
I could really use a maid. Just for a week. If I could get caught up on all the daily stuff, I would feel better.
I miss hanging out with my friends. There just seems to be no time. And a certain someone lives 2 hours away!
I feel like life is passing me by. I have been in a funk lately. I don't know what else to call it. I am not sad or depressed, just in a funk. I wish I had more hours in the day. The walls at work seem to be closing in around me. When I get home, I feel like there is a never ending to-do list.
BUT...
I am so happy that I have a great husband. Last week I wasn't feeling well and he really stepped up to the plate!!
I have great parents and an awesome brother. The parents have fed us many times over the last few weeks. It is nice not having to worry about what to have for dinner or actually cooking. The brother keeps me entertained and loves my child. I couldn't ask for more.
I have wonderful friends. They give me a boost whether they are near or far.
Even though I seem down, I have so much to be thankful for! That cheers me up and hopefully the funk will pass.
AND...

Rice Cereal Adventures
As I mentioned in Will's 4 month post, the doctor said we could start giving Will rice cereal. It has definitely been an adventure. He didn't like it much at first, but he is warming up to the whole idea of "eating".
Most of the food ends up on his face and clothes but we are trying our best. He also wants to hold his own spoon and gets mad when I take it away from him. We are just going to keep at it and hopefully he will start to enjoy the process.
If any moms have any helpful hints, they would be greatly appreciated!
Will and Winnie
For those of you who have never met Winnie, you are missing out! She is our two year old Chihuahua and is a total handful. I love her to death but she has been neglected since Will arrived on the scene. Here she is:
Within the last week, Will has started to notice her. When he is playing in the floor or sitting in the Bumbo, if he notices Winnie walking around, he will stop what he is doing to stare at her. She is really good with him. She will get really close to him and sniff him. Yesterday, we were letting Will practice sitting up on his own and he finally got brave enough to reach out and touch her. She was a little unsure about the whole thing. Clay and I thought it was too funny. Here are some shots of Will and Winnie "playing":
PS: She is named after Winnie Cooper from the "Wonder Years" not Winnie the Pooh.

This cracked me up!
Please go read this post from my BFF Lisa:
Did I really just say that?
Too funny!
PS. I like using "BFF" like we are still in the 6th grade!

Rough Week
This has been a rough week and it's not over yet.
We started with Will's ER visit, and then his 4-month shots.
He has a cold. He can't breathe well and he can't seem to keep his food down.
He hasn't slept well, which means I haven't slept well.
He didn't go to daycare on Monday because of his doctor's appointment and then Tuesday we had to pick him up early because he was running a fever.
I have a cold.
My job gets on my nerves. At least I have one...I am supposed to be grateful, right??
I am tired.
I am just complaining because I have nothing better to do.
I was going to do a post about our weekend at the lake for the 4th, but never got around to it. You can go HERE if you want to see pics.
That is all.
I will be back when I have something to say.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

4 months old
Will turned four months old on the 4th of July!
Today, we went for his four month check-up. He weighs 12 pounds and 12.3 ounces, and is 23 1/2 inches long. He is in the 25th percentile for height and weight. He received four shots that he wasn't too happy about. The doctor said we could start him on rice cereal, so we will see how that goes.
Will fell asleep waiting on the doctor!

Will's First (and hopefully only) Trip to the ER
We had to take Will to Children's Hospital ER on Sunday Night. Around 7 pm, he was stung by a wasp on his right foot. Since he is only 4 months old, the on-call pediatrician and paramedics thought it was best to have him checked at the hospital. They were worried about any possible allergic reactions.
He screamed for about 45 straight minutes. The paramedic said this was good because it meant the sting wasn't affecting his breathing.
I was totally freaked out especially when the paramedics arrived at our house. Even though, it was a minor injury, it truly is a mother's worst nightmare.
Once we got to the ER, we were seen within 20 minutes. Will laughed and smiled at all the staff. I was so happy he was acting like his normal self. After seeing the doctor, he was cleared with a clean bill of health. We got home around 10:15 pm and went to bed.
A few Thank You's:
--My mom-Thanks for riding to the hospital with us and keeping ME calm
--John-Thanks for keeping everyone else calm and helping around the house while we were seeing the paramedics
--Ashley-Thanks for getting everything put away so we didn't come home to a messy house
--Youth Group (yes, they were at the house when it happened)--Thank you for following Ashley's instructions. I didn't have to worry about them and they were not in the way. Best youth group EVER!
--Dan and Celia-Thank you for meeting us at Children's and waiting to make sure Will was okay.
--Paramedic-We can't remember your name, buy you were awesome!
--ER Staff-Thanks for working quickly and answering all our questions!

Look Mom, I Can Hold My Own Bottle
Thursday night I was trying to get our stuff together to head to the lake. Will was really unhappy so I put him in the highchair to see if he would hang out there while I washed bottles. For entertainment, I gave him a small bottle with an ounce of water in it. He played with it for a few minutes and when I turned around, I saw this:
He was holding his own bottle and drinking the water. My happiness didn't last very long because once he figured out it was water he wasn't too thrilled. We have let him practice all weekend with holding his bottle, but when it is full he has a hard time with it. I am so proud of my boy!

No Paternity Test Needed
Everyone says that Will looks like me. Personally, I don't see it. I think he just looks like a baby, but others seem to think we look exactly alike. I will take it as a compliment because I happen to think this sweet boy is too cute!!
My Sweet Boy
First pair of shoes. They lasted three minutes.
Will LOVES watching TV, and mostly sports. He especially loves Nascar and Baseball.
Will and Clay have the exact same sleeping habits. When they are down, there is no waking them. And they are ALL OVER the place. This is where I find Will every morning. For reference, when I put him to bed, he is in the middle of the bed and on his back.

I think that it makes Clay a little sad that people always go on and on about how Will and I favor, but he will never be able to deny this child. Below are two examples why:
