Thankful

The last few days have been a constant reminder of how blessed I am. I stand in awe of what God is doing in my life and in the life of my family.

I have taken so many things for granted but I am thankful for God’s constant reminders of his love for me.

Here are a few things I am thankful for today:

1. This man:

I seriously don’t know what I would do without him. He is walking beside me as we navigate the waters of being husband and wife. He has such a tender heart and I love that he cares more for others than he does himself.  He has been helping our neighbors and friends as they clear their property of trees and debris.  He has worked so hard and I am so proud of him.

2. This boy:

He keeps me going. I am so thankful that God has allowed me to be his mother. He is pure joy and he sees the good in everyone.

3. My family and friends—Since the storm hit, our house has had a constant rotation of friends and family (mostly because we had power). I love spending time with my parents and brother, and I am so glad that we have so many wonderful friends in our lives. I am so thankful that God kept them all safe during the storm.

4. My job/finances—Clay and I are by no means rich, but God has seen fit to provide for us financially during this time. What a blessing. We were able to go and purchase some much needed storm supplies without putting a financial strain on our family.

I could go on and on, but these are the things that I have thanked God for over and over the last few days.

The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17
